were you there?

this year's good friday service was a very emotional one. reflections during the 7 last words really hit home, and many tears were shed. i love lent, holy week, and easter because we have much time to reflect on what He has done for us and the symbolism of the Passion. we get the opportunity to live religiously and strengthen each of our relationships with God.

being the daughter of a minister, i have naturally been to church almost every sunday, ash wednesday, maundy thursday, good friday, easter vigil, easter sunday, all souls day, three kings, christmas service, thanksgiving service, baptism, wedding, anything you can think of. each year brings something new. although the scriptures remain the same, i, as a young adult, learn new things about the church and how it affects me as a person. i am a sinner like everyone else, and i know i more than often act without love for all of my neighbours and do not behave according to His word.

with all of this said, despite the fact that this is not exactly personal or directed to anyone in particular, i invite you to take a moment to reflect upon your life and your beliefs. how God, or whomever you worship, has helped you through your faith journey and continues to carry you each day.

"Almight God, kindle we pray, in every heart the true love of peace and guide with your wisdom those who take counsel for the nations of the earth; that in tranquility your dominion may increase until the earth is filled with the knowledge of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."

i wish you all a very cheerful easter. God Bless<3
